Ashley is Leaving

My baby sister, (who is no longer a baby) is leaving in four days to go to study abroad for almost four months, and I don't know what to do. Ashley is (next to Dave,) the person I am closest to. Anyone will tell you that we don't always get along, but I think we both know that we will always be best friends. I am so excited that she gets this opportunity, because wow, who wouldn't want to go and live in Paris for four months? But, I am being selfish right now, and I am going to miss her so much, I don't know what to do. We have never been apart for this long, and yes, we will be able to talk still, but it will be really strange to not be able to call her anytime, day or night and just chat. This is going to be awesome for her, and I know she is going to have a wonderful time, I guess I will just have to get over the fact that I am a little more than slightly co-dependent on my little sister. Ash, I love you, you are going to do great!

Snowshoeing Millcreek

Today Dave, Gauge, and I went snowshoeing up Millcreek Canyon. It was absolutely beautiful! It wasn't snowed much this last week, but the three of us still managed to find some powder. We snowshoed up a trail called Bowman Fork, which we have hiked quite a few times in the summer and fall, but this was the first time we did it in the winter. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and challenging trail.

Funny Bott Faces!

While looking through the pictures I took from Dave's graduation dinner I realized that my family has a hard time just smiling for pictures. For some reason they like to make funny faces whenever a camera comes out, so I thought I would share some of their funny faces!

Dave's Belated Graduation Party!

This last weekend we finally went out with my family to celebrate Dave's graduation from BYU. We didn't get a chance to do it back when he actually graduated, at the end of December, with Christmas and his birthday, there was just too much going on! We met my family at Brick Oven in Provo, and had a great dinner there. We then went to my Grandparent's house to play games and have dessert. I had never played Apples to Apples before, but it was a blast! Especially since my Grandpa won. If you are looking for a fun family game, I highly recommend it. We had a great time celebrating with my family!

Help! I am the Camp Director!

I just was called to be the Young Women's Rough Camp Director for my ward. I know that every calling is humbling, but this one really is for me. I think back to when I was in Young Women's and went to camp and I am completely overwhelmed. I can' even imagine how much planning and hard work went into it.

So I am asking for your help. When you guys went to girls camp, were there any particular activities that you loved or that stood out to you? I want to make this as fun and memorable for these girls as possible, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Twilight

Okay, I have a bit of a confession, I am obsessed with the Twilight series. I have just finished the third book in the series, again, and I can't help but love it. They are such a fun read. I read all three books and then I don't read them for a few months, and then someone will bring them up again and I think, I wonder if they really are as good as I remember them. So I read them again, and they really are.

I was a little hesitant when I heard that they were making the movie, especially when I saw who they cast for Edward. Rarely is a movie as good as the book. But, the other day Ashley was on the Internet and found this picture of Edward and Bella, and I am starting to think that they could possibly pull it off. I guess we will have to wait and see.

If you are looking for some good books to read, and you haven't already read the Twilight series, I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe New Years Eve! This was an exciting one for Dave and I because we decided to not be hermits this year and we actually went out and did something. You may think I sound a little harsh when I say that, but for the last two years I have woken Dave up at midnight to wish him a Happy New Year, and he didn't even remember the next morning.

So we broke out of our little hermit habit, and went over to some friend's of ours in the ward for a game night. It was a lot of fun, I think it may not be as hard next year to convince Dave that we should go out! Hope you had a fun one too!
